My Statement
I have decided to put the website back up because I felt that by taking it down I was allowing the content - and in turn myself - to be judged without both sides of the story being readily available. In essence, I would like my words to be judged for what they are, not what one person has interpreted them to be. If you have a sense of humor and can appreciate comedy in the vein of Southpark, Doug Stanhope, Joe Rogan and Adam Corolla then please feel free to enter the website by clicking here.
If you’re coming here from the Contra Costa Times article or the associated press story; this is the entirety of the statement that I released to the author of the article.
This website is comprised of my personal thoughts, feelings and sense of humor and as such does not reflect the thoughts or opinions of The California National Guard, The California Air National Guard, The United States Air Force or any of the commanding officers that represent those organizations. I was under the impression that I was writing anonymously and in that writing I have never mentioned my relation to any of those organizations due to the nature of my opinions. How Mr. Peele acquired that information is beyond me.The purpose of the website is political satire, social commentary and an outlet for my opinions. In no way, shape or form do I condone acts of violence or aggression and this website is not a learning tool for those activities. Certainly some may find the sense of humor and opinions represented here as dark and distasteful; and that may very well be. However it is my sense of humor and these are my opinions alone.I’m sorry if I have misrepresented or left a black mark on the California Military Department, The California National Guard or The United States Air Force. I have the utmost respect for all of these organizations and would not want my website or opinions to tarnish their good names.

Thank you for having the courage to support the First Amendment and our right to free speech. If everyone was afraid to speak their minds for fear of the social consequences they might face then the First Amendment would be worthless. Journalists who see your statements as something to be waived about in shame miss the whole point that they stand for, free speech, and are little more than sensationalists. Kudos to you for doing what’s right rather than what’s just safe!

This story made the Register, a UK geek/tech website, which is how I found out about this story. As a fellow blogger, this public outing seems rather vicious, and completely contrived. They cherry-picked your satirical articles to cast you in a negative light, with the express purpose of exposing you and your job.

I really hate your shit and a lot of it is unoriginal. But that being said, I still think that you have the right to carry on. I am not an American, so I don’t have the freedom of speech clause to fall back on, but you do and should still be allowed. Even if I don’t like it. And that is what living a democratic life is all about.

Hey Travis, not sure if you remember, but we met you guys in Jamaica, at the Grande Ocho Rios. I’ve looked through your site since getting home and have enjoyed some great laughs, thanks for that! I was telling you about my cousin Will’s movie coming out, The Brothers Solomon. IT hasn’t gotten a ton of pub, but they are doing some blasts on YouTube right now. Hey Tim, there is no “case” here. What’s happened is some idiot reporter has blown Travis’ website intent all out of proportion. Travis deals in humour and satire. He’s not out advocating mass murder.
As I mentioned before you can find dozens of sites sympathetic to radical terrorism that provide genuinely hateful and genocidal language. I don’t see anyone raising hell about that.
All Travis does is post a site on cock and whore jokes, but because he chose a catchy name, he’s being nailed to the cross for it.
I’m not advocating any sort of threatening material, etc. What I’m saying is that if the reporter who broke this “story” actually bothered to research Travis’ website for any longer than about 5 seconds, he would have seen it has nothing to do with killing people.
The point I’m making is that my website, for example, has nothing to do with “killing in the title, but I could post instructions on how to build an atomic bomb, and there’s fuck all that anybody could do to stop me.
Travis hasn’t and isn’t hurting anybody with his site, and - IN MY PERSONAL OPINION WHICH IS NOT NECESSARILY SUPPORTED BY OR ENCOURAGED BY TRAVIS IN ANY WAY - The reporter from the Contra Costa Times should croak faster than Steve Irwin in a tank full of stingrays.
And if you haven’t figured it out yet, that’s satire as well.

I disagree with a lot of your viewpoints but think the shit you are going through for expressing them is far more worse and dangerous than this site could ever be.
I’m probably an unusual case, but I’m a moderate-liberal with lots of moderate-conservative friends and we actually LIKE having some beers and debating issues on which we disagree. I recommend everyone try it.

Personally I find most of the things on this website to be crude, obnoxious and juvenile. I have come across nothing here that I find redeeming in any meaningful way. Your letter to Sheryl Crow was ignorant at best and offered nothing to a serious situation. Having said that, there is absolutely a time to be crude and a time to be obnoxious. Not everything needs to be smart or carry any social weight or strive to make a difference and I don’t have to agree with everything I read and you have got every right to not just believe what you believe but you have a right to scream it at the top of your lungs. Not only are you gutsy and brave, but you have the integrity to stand up for what you believe is right, when others would back down and buckle under the weight of such accusations and criticisms.
